LSNA Membership Assembly- 3/26 & 3/27 @ B.R. Marriot. Will need delegates to attend. We want to win the Leading Way Award for membership gain – get a coworker to Join by Jan.1st

Nurse Day at the Capitol – 4/30 @ Louisiana State Capitol

SUCCESSFUL NDNA NURSING EXCELLENCE AWARD PROGRAM

This year the event was hosted by St. Tammany Parish Hospital on September 17, 2024. The program consisted of:

·         NDNA Welcome - Kay Sabadie, Dir. of Programming; Mistress of Ceremony - Tren Garbo, Dir.of Recognition

·         Invocation - Cody Warren, Chaplain STPH

·         Host Welcome - Kerry Milton, CNO St. & Joan Coffman, CEO St. Tammany Health System

·         LSNA greetings -Dr. Ahnyel Burkes, LSNA Executive Director

·         Overview of LSNA Nursing Workforce Initiative - Dr. Coletta Barrett

·         Keynote speaker, Tiffany Dover, ADA 22nd JDC. She spoke on violence toward healthcare workers, the applicable laws in Louisiana related to this crime and the steps in reporting. 

·         Presentation of Awards - Recipients: Cheryl Barre -STPHS, Brent Blazevich-STPHS, Debra Carambat-NTCC, Janie Collins -SMH, Jeanne Dakin-STPHS, Nadine Dupaquier -AVALA, Candice Firmin-SMH, Cindy Ingram-STPHS, Kimberely Jerome-Ochsner Hancock, Heather LeBlanc -STPHS, Teresa Lott-NTCC, Kyra Martin-SMH, Molly McIntyre-Lakeview,  Julia Murphy-NLBHS, Kristy Myers-STPHS, Melinda Sanders-OLOAH, Rachel Seeger-AVALA, Melissa Sheridan-Lakeview, Heidi Smith-OLOAH, Karen Wheat-OLOAH, Amanda Zapata-Ochsner Health, President’s Award: Tiffany Swoboda
